Case Study
Introduction
The following case study outlines the thorough and enjoyable process of commissioning a piece of bespoke furniture, using a recent commission for a large dining table and 6 chairs as a case study example. It will demonstrate the steps that we go through to produce the perfect piece of furniture that will fulfil all your requirements.
Initial design brief
This is where Tom will establish the exact design parameters of your piece of furniture and will come out to see where the piece is eventually going to be placed. We will establish the style of furniture you require, whether modern or more traditional; heavy and bold or slender and elegant. The colours of the timber to compliment or contrast with its surroundings, some rough sizes and an approximate idea of budget for the project are also considered at this stage.
